Water-soluble substrate
Applications
Transfer-Printing of Curved Surfaces
KURARAY POVAL FILM water-soluble type is used for curved surface transfer (hydrographic transfer) to decorate various plastic products, including automotive interior panels.
Patterns such as wood grain are pre-printed on Poval film, which is then floated on water. After a certain time, an activator is sprayed to activate the printed layer, and the object is pressed from above, transferring the pattern using water pressure.
This enables decoration even on complex three-dimensional curved surfaces, which are difficult to print directly.
Three Reasons to Choose Us
1. Easy Layer Formation
KURARAY POVAL FILM water-soluble type supports various forming methods such as gravure printing and vapor deposition.
It also offers excellent strength against tension, tearing, and impact.
2. User-Friendly and Environmentally Friendly
KURARAY POVAL FILM water-soluble type dissolves easily in water after sowing, eliminating the need for post-processing and improving work efficiency. The film is highly flexible and easy to process.
The raw material, Poval, is a biodegradable resin that, after dissolving in water, is decomposed into water and carbon dioxide by certain microorganisms.
This sustainable material helps reduce environmental impact.
